Southern Baptist International Mission Board
The International Mission Board is an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention with a membership of over 40,000 churches and 16 million members. The Board's main objective is presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to lead individuals to saving faith in Him and result in church planting movements among all the peoples of the world.
The North American Mission Board is the domestic missions agency of the Southern Baptist Convention. The mission of the North American Mission Board is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, start New Testament congregations, minister to persons in the name of Christ, and assist churches in the United States, Canada, and U.S. territories in effectively performing these functions.

The Shelby Baptist Association ministries extend past the church and into the community, Shelby County, through the Ministry Center located at 205 Walton Street in Columbiana, Alabama. Their mission is to help churches reach Shelby County for Christ, to help people experience the love of God and teach them to walk with Him.

Children’s Hope Chest
Each of Children's Hope Chest programs attempts to restore wholeness to the brokenness that is orphan-hood. It is their belief that orphans have the greatest chances for success when they are surrounded by loving role models who remind them of their great worth and value in the eyes of God.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is an exciting project of Samaritan’s Purse that demonstrates God’s love to needy children through gift-filled shoe boxes. Caring individuals and groups fill shoe boxes with toys, school supplies, and other needed items. Since 1993 more that 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered to needy children around the world.
Community of Hope Health Clinic
The Community of Hope Health Clinic located at 1000 County Services Drive in Pelhan is open every Thursday evening from 5:30pm until 8:30pm. The clinic provides health care for people in Shelby County who do not have health insurance. Volunteers are needed: physicians, nurses, social workers, and non-clinical personnel. Disaster Relief
Westwood works with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions and the North American Mission Board to provide disaster relief in time of tragedy and disaster such as tornados and hurricanes. Westwood has teams that are qualified in clean-up, mud-out, and chain-saw. For more information visit www.namb.net or call the church office.
