As followers of Christ, we all realize that we are a long way from “arriving”, meaning coming to the place where we are completely following and obeying God in every area of our lives, as Christ did. That fact brings up a very important question, “is it possible for us to honestly think we are sold out to God and following Him wholeheartedly in all areas of our lives and be blinded to the fact that we are not?” If so, how can this translate and play out in the Body of Christ (His church)? With those real questions in mind, we will take an honest look at Scripture and a frank look at our lives as individuals and collectively as His Body, with the guidance of His Spirit, to find His answer.
To guide our time together in the Word and challenge where we are as individuals, and as the Body of Christ, we will be reading Radical Together by David Platt. It is recommended to purchase a copy of this book (we will have some available for purchase at the Guest Services table in the Atrium) and read each chapter prior to coming, but this is not a requirement to attend. Our time together will include time of prayer, study, group discussions and break-outs. If you have any questions, contact the leaders below. Also, please register by sending an email to Wendy Sipes to aide in preparation of childcare and facilities. This class will be 6 weeks in length (skipping the 4th of July).
