"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you" (John 14:18 NIV).  God has spoken and He is clear with His love.  God wants us to be adopted into His eternal family "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will" (Ephesians 1:4-5).

However, everyday 5,760 more children become earthly orphans. Every 2.2 seconds, another orphan ages out of the system, with no family and no home.  Many wonder the streets, searching for shelter and love; but end up in prostitution, abuse, and suicide.  Worldwide, there are over 8 million boys and girls living in institutional care; countless more though, are abandoned or sold into slavery.  In the US alone, there are over 500,000 children in foster care and 130,000 of those children are waiting for an available adoption.  But there's hope through God's love that He bestowed on His children.  His instructions to believers are clear:  "3 Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked" (Psalm 82:3-4).  Will you accept His calling?  God has adopted us into His heavenly family; followers of Christ who have been called by Him, must adopt the orphans into a Christian family.

Join us the 2nd Wednesday of each month for pray time, scripture study, and family support with families who have adopted or foster children.  If you are interested in this ministry; have a longing to help orphans abroad; or just want post-adoption support, join us.
